Just something about me

I’m Alex Mercer, a guitarist, songwriter and musician with a soft spot for loud amplifiers, old records and rooms full of instruments.

I started playing guitar as a teenager and never really stopped. Over the years that turned into writing songs, recording demos, playing with different musicians and gradually building a small studio around myself.

Rock and metal are still at the centre of what I do, but I’m not particularly interested in staying inside one genre. If a song needs to be heavy, it will be heavy. If it works better stripped back to one guitar, that’s fine too.

This room is where most of the ideas begin. It’s part studio, part rehearsal space and probably home to more guitar cables than any sensible person should own.
